History

Culford School is a day and boarding independent school for children aged 1-18 years. Set in 480 acres of beautiful Suffolk parkland, with an 18th century mansion at its centre, Culford provides an educational experience that is challenging, enriching and fun.

As you enter the majestic grounds of Culford, the beautiful Old Hall and its gardens provide the ultimate location for a summers evening concert.


Getting here

From Cambridge or London

Leave the A14 at junction 42 for the A143 signposted Thetford and at the second roundabout take the second exit on to the A134 signposted Fornham.  Follow the A134 until you reach the roundabout and take the first exit signposted B1106 Fornham.  Continue to the next roundabout and take the third exit, also the B1106. Continue along this road until you reach Culford village. The entrance to the School will be seen on the left-hand side.

From Ipswich

Exit the A14 at junction 43 (Bury St EdmundsWest) take the roundabout exit signposted Brandon B1106 (RAF Honington). Continue along Tut Hill past Bury St Edmunds Golf Club until the double mini-roundabout. Go straight over into Fornham All Saints village, past the Church and the Suffolk Golf Club, and continue until the roundabout. Take the first exit signposted Culford and Brandon B1106. Continue along this road until you reach Culford village. The entrance to the School will be seen on the left-hand side.

From Norwich

On the A11 Travelling south on the A11 from Norwich, take the B1106 just south of Thetford signposted Bury St Edmunds. Culford is in 6 miles. Culford School is in the centre of Culford village.

By Rail

Bury St Edmunds has good rail links to and London Liverpool Street, Ipswich and Cambridge and only a 15 minute taxi journey from Culford School.
